Yesterday Buckinghamshire County Council announced that green waste collection will resume across the county from 11th May. Additionally, 5 household waste sites stand ready to reopen as soon as the Government gives the green-light nationally. This news comes after the Housing and Communities Secretary, Robert Jenrick MP, announced to Parliament that local authorities would be given the go-ahead to reopen household waste sites.
Commenting, Greg said: "Many constituents have contacted me wanting to see garden waste collections resumed and household waste sites re-opened as soon as it is safe to do so. It is good news that Buckinghamshire Council are acting on residents' wishes and getting these important services back up and running again. In particular, can I thank all our refuse collectors who have continued to provide an essential service throughout the COVID-19 outbreak."
