Greg welcomed the Conservative Party Co-Chairman Amanda Milling MP to the The Silverstone Experience at Silverstone yesterday to meet with Stuart Pringle, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuit and Sally Reynolds Chief Executive of Silverstone Experience.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss how the circuit and museum have fared during the various Covid-19 related restrictions and hear their exciting plans for the future.
Amanda said: "Having spent much of my childhood at Silverstone it was great to return and see all that the museum has to offer and their plans for the future.
"In these difficult times the Silverstone Experience has adapted to ensure they are Covid-secure so families and motoring fans can enjoy a day out safely."
Silverstone Circuit is a hugely important part of our local economy, with roughly half the circuit being in Buckinghamshire and the other half in Northamptonshire. The circuit is the beating heart of motorsport valley, which supports over 40,000 jobs and puts £10 billion into the UK economy each year.
The Silverstone Experience, which sits entirely in Buckinghamshire is an incredible new museum, which only formally opened just before lockdown began. It offers fun and nostalgia for all motorsport fans, as well as being a superb educational facility, teaching young people the science behind racing cars and bikes. They are open, with first class Covid-secure measures that enable visitors to enjoy everything they have to offer (eg personal styluses to enable touchscreen use at the various exhibits). Please do go and support them!
