Greg Smith was delighted to attend the formal opening of the newly refurbished Princes Centre in Princes Risborough on Friday (1 November 2019).
The Centre, which is funded by community groups and individual donations provides services for elderly people who might be isolated, lonely or whose carers might need a break; adults with mild or moderate learning disabilities, and; those with mental health difficulties.
Governed by a board of nine trustees, they aim to provide the best personal day care service with the utmost respect for their clients, employees, and the local community. Their primary goal is to maintain and enhance the quality of life and well-being of others, helping people to remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible.
After the visit Greg said, "The new facilities are absolutely stunning. I am in awe of the dedication of the trustees and staff who have created this - and special thanks must go to local architect Paul Morgan who designed the new facility for free.
"This is a true community success story, where those involved have taken a facility with poor service provision into a multi award winning, financially sustainable centre of excellence that is incredibly well supported and loved by its users."
