I am full of admiration for all our Parish and Town Councils and Councillors across Mid Buckinghamshire. Parish and Town Councillors are regrettably too often forgotten in national debate, yet work extremely hard, grappling with local issues, planning and battling threats to our towns and villages for no financial reward, just love of place.
In the House of Commons this morning, I asked the Leader of the House to join me in thanking our town and parish councils for their hard work and for a debate on how we can encourage more people to come forward to serve their towns, villages and hamlets.
