SolarQ Meeting in Parliament on Solar Installations and Battery Storage Sites

Today, I met with SolarQ to discuss the ever growing threat to our national food security from large scale solar installations and battery storage sites. While I’m pleased to have seen Buckinghamshire Council reject both a battery site in the Claydons and a solar installation in Kimblewick in recent months, the fight goes on and I will never give up protecting our countryside from unscrupulous development.

I have long said nuclear is the answer to our energy future. So credit where it is due, I welcome the Government’s announcement on nuclear today. However, the Secretary of State persists with also ploughing on with ground mounted solar, which is inefficient and trashes our countryside.
