With many shops re-opening today (Monday 15th June 2020), before heading into Westminster Greg visited a number of shops in Princes Risborough to talk to shopkeepers and see how Covid-19 safe measures were going.
First of all, Princes Risborough Town Council have done a first class job ensuring 2 metre signage is clear, as well as helping individual businesses with items such as hand sanitiser stations and screens at counters. As a motorsport fan, Greg particularly enjoyed their Kop Hill Climb inspired 2 metre distance posters!
Individual businesses have all adapted to Covid-safe measures well. From mobile screens for staff to assist with shoe fitting at Wainwright's shoes, to the one way system at Sally's Sewing Box, provision of gloves at Cymbeline Art and Cards, doorway counter at La Crepe Escape, perspex screens at Quick Step, internal barriers at Fonehouse or limit of customers at any one time at Princes Risborough Cook Shop - Risborough's shops are ready for your custom.
Greg was pleased to see see so many local people already in the shops, commenting, "Our local shops and high streets need us all right now in order to bounce back and keep trading for many years to come. So please do shop local and support all our local traders."
