The Government made a statement on childcare and early years settings today. Whilst there is much to be welcomed on the expansion of childcare and early years support started by the last Conservative Government, I have spoke to local settings who report the double whammy of government funding being insufficient and the rise in National Insurance contributions makes provision very difficult.
I will keep pushing on this. It’s no good making free hours available if settings are not properly remunerated to provide the services.
