Businesses across Mid Buckinghamshire have been in touch to raise concern about upcoming punishing steel tariffs on grades of steel not made in the UK. This is serious and threatens jobs, yet the Government wants to consult and are full of “ifs” and “buts.”
It is essential tariffs are dropped on those grades of steel that are not made here in the UK. The Ministers reply to me veered so far off course to talk about China - something no one brought up - I am fearful for the future of so many manufacturing businesses across the UK.
