The siting of an asylum centre at MOD Bicester, just over the Buckinghamshire border is absurd. It is a totally unsuitable location, with serious threats to nearby villages like Boarstall, Oakley, Marsh Gibbon, Ludgershall, Brill, Long Crendon, and others. At his first outing at the Despatch Box, I asked the new Prime Minister to take a trip to those villages when he is next at Chequers to see how unsuitable it is - then intervene with the Home Secretary to stop it.
