Issues relating to HS2 continue to dominate my week. Earlier I convened a meeting with HS2 Ltd Chief Executive Mark Wild with Murray Cooke from the Wendover HS2 Action Group, Bucks Councillor Peter Strachan and Wendover Parish Councillor George Atwell to discuss concerns relating to noise modelling once the railway is operational. Detailed discussion - and will keep pushing on this to ensure noise levels do not exceed what we were promised in the HS2 Act.
I also met with Cllr Frank Mahon, Twyford Parish Council, Steeple Claydon Parish Council and representatives from both Anglian Water, HS2 and EKFB, on the important issue of concerns around water and sewage capacity affecting Twyford, the Claydons and surrounding area, both currently and in the future after the IMD is built. Many questions raised and challenges set - which I will be following up with all involved.
