This afternoon, I convened a follow up visit to Calvert Green for local Parish representatives and Councillors to raise issues with HS2 Ltd Chief Executive, Mark Wild.
This is the third time he has visited Mid Buckinghamshire since his appointment, twice in Wendover and twice in Calvert Green.
This meeting focused on representatives from Calvert Green, Twyford, Charndon and Steeple Claydon raising local issues around road conditions, road closures, “temporary” traffic lights; as well as bigger questions on noise modelling and further mitigations given the extended build time of this unwanted project.
It was pleasing to hear from the representatives that they felt engagement had got better in recent months, although it goes without saying there is a long way still to go.
I will continue to follow up issues (it feels like daily) with HS2 Ltd as well as the Government - but these visits do ensure we are being heard at the top.
