On Saturday 27th June 2020 Greg joined the judging panel of not one, but two scarecrow competitions in the constituency.
The day started on the Lace Hill development in Buckingham, where residents presented a fantastic array of key worker themed scarecrows. Whilst at Lace Hill, Greg also joined volunteers behind a painted stone snakes project, which many households have taken part in throughout lockdown and is now on display at the centre of the estate. Throughout lockdown, Lace Hill has been a shining light of community spirit, with numerous initiatives running to help each other and bring everyone together at such a difficult time for the country.
In the afternoon Greg joined the team on Bernie the Bus to judge competition entries across Calvert Green, Edgcott, Ashendon, Westcott, Grendon Underwood, Quainton and Waddesdon, whilst also collecting a massive six crates worth of donations for local foodbanks.
Commenting, Greg said: "The effort that had clearly gone into all the entries I saw on Saturday across both Lace Hill and the villages was superb. Everyone who took part - as well as the organisers - deserve huge credit for these wonderfully community spirited initiatives."
