Some good news for the Claydons. After a long time of pushing for East West Rail to drop their proposed extra passing loop - I was pleased to get an email confirming they no longer propose to build it. Having worked closely with Cllr Frank Mahon on this, it is indeed good news.
Of course, the other battles in the Claydons rage on - from the monstrous 2,000 acre ground mounted solar proposal known as Rosefield, to multiple battery storage applications, on-going fights with HS2 and construction plans for the mega prison, there remains a lot to do. But this passing loop news is proof that we should never give up and keep fighting to save our countryside.
