Over the summer, I was delighted to visit Princes Risborough Lighthouse for their opening and closing ceremonies (including getting gunged as part of the fun). Lighthouse is an incredible summer holiday programme, where in Princes Risborough a small army of volunteers welcomed 450 local children for a week of fun underpinned by Christian teaching. At Church Commissioners Questions, this morning I thanked Eleyna Kibble and her team of volunteers, trustees and church leaders; as well as those who also ran Lighthouse in Great Missenden and Haddenham; and asked what more the Church of England could do to support these wonderful schemes.
