The concept of a tourism tax is just plain bonkers. Making holidays and breaks more expensive in a world where everyone is struggling with the cost of living AND when the hospitality sector is on its knees is a recipe for disaster. I asked the Minister how low domestic tourism would have to dip and how many more businesses close before Labour understand how damaging tax, tax, tax is.
