With travel chaos predicted this Summer from the new European Entry/Exit Scheme, I questioned the Borders Minister earlier, challenging how this has gone so wrong, given many of the issues were highlighted years ago by the (now abolished) European Scrutiny Committee which I sat on during the last Parliament. I maintain one of the solutions, that it is not too late to implement, would be off-site registration centres for things like fingerprints, so that the queues at ports are not so horrendous.
